Tribute to Jaska 4.4.2008

Jaskan muistolle järjestetään tribuutti-ilta Hyvinkään Amarillossa 4.4.2008. Illan aikana esiintyvät mm. Wolfchild (vokalisteina Mika ja Kimi), Versio ja Profuse.

Kaikki, jotka ilmoittautuvat kutsuvieraslistalle etukäteen pääsevät ilmaiseksi Jaskan muistokeikalle!

Ennakkoilmoittautuminen on päättynyt. Keikalle kuitenkin pääsee normaalisti ilman ilmoittautumistakin. Ensimmäinen yhtye aloittaa klo 21.00.

Wolfchild is a four piece band again. Antti Röksä has been very busy with his other projects and he hasn't had enough time for Wolfchild lately. Antti and the rest of the band have decided that he will no longer be a member of the band. Wolfchild will play with one guitar from now on.

Wolfchild announces new line-up!

The new bass player is Rude, an old friend of the band. Also, Antti Röksä, who has been playing with the band since the beginning of the year, has now been made a full member of Wolfchild. More info on the new guys here.

The band is also back doing gigs, so the gigs section has been updated.

April 30, 2007

Jaska's funeral was held on Saturday, April 21st. Marko, Tom, Mika and Antti played the Wolfchild song 'I Walk Away' acoustically at the ceremony. Here's a picture from that sad day.

However, life goes on. Wolfchild has decided to continue, and a new bass player will be introduced in the near future.

The saddest of news.

Yesterday, April 3rd, Jaska Koivusilta passed away.

The rest of the band are very sad and shocked by Jaska's untimely passing, and want to send their deepest condolences to his family.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

Wolfchild has a new vocalist!

We are happy to announce that Mika Siitonen is the band's new singer. Siitonen (ex-Moonscape) will sing his debut Wolfchild gig at Liberte, Helsinki on February 7th. More info later.

Joining Wolfchild as a temporary second guitarist will be Antti Röksä (Skyward). Röksä will be filling in until a permanent guitarist is found.

Jaska, Marko and Tom want to thank Kim for the four years he was in Wolfchild and hope him all the best with his future projects.

Wolfchild looking for a new singer!

Wolfchild and singer Kim Högberg have decided to go their separate ways due to long-term personal and musical differences. Högberg has agreed to do the gigs that have already been confirmed and to be a member of the band until a replacement is found. However, the gigs in Lahti and Toijala have been cancelled. Wolfchild has already started auditions in order to find a new vocalist.

Added some album reviews and updated the gigs.

Wolfchild will enter the studio in December to record a new song for an upcoming album. The song will be "Give Me A Sign". There is also a music video planned for that song. The video is to be released on Hollywood Hairspray vol.2 DVD in 2007.

New gigs added.

Wolfchild will be in Finnish television again. The night chat on channel MTV3 will be aired during the night 31.8. - 1.9. at 02.00 o'clock. The estimated time for the show is two hours.

Wolfchild and Perris Records (www.perrisrecords.com) have a record deal for the self-titled debut album. The new album will be out on May 30, 2006.

Perris Distribution includes the following countries: USA, Canada, Germany, UK, Italy, Brazil, Czech Republic, Sweden, France, Denmark, Japan, Spain, Australia, The Netherlands, Greece, & Argentina.

Perris Records have a new compilation album, Hollywood Hairspray vol. 6, containing a track by Wolfchild called One Woman. The release date for the compilation is in June 2006.

Toxic will be mastered May 18. at Sound Supreme studios by Janne Saksa (Mokoma, Total Devastation etc.) and shortly after that pressed at Studio 57 for release in early April.

Due to Marko Purosto's hand surgery the band won't be able to do any gigs for approx. two months. See more info about the last gig before the break at the Gigs section.

The band is currently booking shows for the year 2005.

As mentioned below, the gig in Klubi was recorded and filmed for a promo-DVD and a forthcoming release by Encore Metal.

Wolfchild supporting ex-Iron Maiden singer! Paul Di'Anno is making a small tour in Finland with his band. Wolfchild will be supporting them at Klubi, Hyvinkää on December 2, 2004. The gig will be recorded for a release by Encore Metal (site will be online in January 2005). Tickets are already available at Klubi, Isabel, Tiketti and S-Musiikki. The tickets cost 15€.

Wolfchild will enter Rockstar Studio on November 24, 2004 and begin recording three new songs for the next release Toxic. More info later.
